Course Overview

This course will prepare perioperative nurses to better support urologic endoscopy procedures. Assembling the appropriate instrumentation and supplies for a procedure will reduce employee stress and result in time and economic efficiencies. The course will review common urologic endoscopy procedures including cystoscopy, transurethral resection, ureteroscopy and stone fragmentation.

  • Define common urologic endoscopic procedures
  • Identify the equipment required to perform urologic endoscopy procedures
  • Demonstrate assembly of basic urology equipment
