Note: At the time of registration participants must identify the type of equipment currently being used by the facility. (CV-100, CV-140, CV-160 or CV-180)

Course Overview

This course discusses endoscope basics and the equipment that makes up the EVIS and EXERA workstation. The course will help participants gain insight into the funcionality of endoscopes and the video system's individual components and measure their critical nature to the success of the endoscopic procedure. Instructors will help participants understand the process for acquiring support and learn how to return EVIS systems back to their proper operating conditions.

Learning Objective

Learn basic endoscope operation and the wiring configuration and setup of a properly operating EVIS workstation. Troubleshooting techniques will be taught that will allow you to quickly identify the cause of an image problem and how to correct it. Learn about the compatibility of different equipment (160 and 180 series light sources and video processors) and video ancillary components (monitors, OEP Printer). Learn the proper procedure for returning equipment for repair or for requesting a site visit for service.
